    Dublin City Council Candidates

    WARD 1

    Amy Kramb

What are your top priority projects for Dublin and how would you fund them?
I prioritize the city’s annual maintenance programs and the extension of city water and sewer services. As water runoff increases with continued development, functioning waterways are critical for flood control. Existing roads, bridges, and sidewalks must remain safe. As private wells and septic systems age, utility extensions are important to the health and safety of our residents and our watershed. I advocate for annual Capital Improvement Project dollars to cover these long-term expenses.

How do you or would you stay connected to resident concerns and make sure all voices are heard?
I lead a group called the East Dublin Civic Association to engage residents who reside east of the Scioto River. I regularly provide email updates on city and developer projects, traffic, crime, and other topics. I desire a chance to engage ward residents west of the river in a similar manner. In addition, I welcome all residents to email or call me with any questions or concerns. I will provide a timely response and help find you answers.

How will you ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently?
I educate myself, ask questions, participate, and advocate. I read every line of the annual budget and review the hundreds of pages of supporting documents. When trade-offs are required to balance the budget, I support appropriate and necessary projects; and, I request removal or delay of non-critical projects. I prioritize funding for maintenance of existing facilities before funding construction of new facilities. These budget meetings are open to the public, and I encourage all to attend.

Residents often note that traffic management and crime prevention are top concerns. How will you address these issues?
Dublin can control crime and traffic within its boundaries; however, crime and traffic are not contained within jurisdictional lines. This is why our police partner with adjacent law enforcement agencies. And this is why our traffic studies look beyond Dublin’s borders. The goal is to preempt problems by improving and adding infrastructure in advance of demand; the challenge is timing improvements, so they are available when needed, yet not laying idle while costing money to maintain.

In one sentence, why should voters elect you in November?
I have proven myself qualified and dedicated.

    Imran M. Malik

What are your top priority projects for Dublin and how would you fund them?
My objective is to unlock Dublin's potential by integrating traffic management, infrastructure development, and quality-of-life enhancements. I will advocate for the Envision Dublin plan, transforming 110 acres of Metro Center into a vibrant hub, stimulating economic growth, and addressing affordable housing. I will strongly support the Sports Ohio revitalization to attract new businesses, complementing our existing 4300 established businesses citywide.

How do you or would you stay connected to resident concerns and make sure all voices are heard?
Effective leadership and decision-making rely on open communication between community members and public servants. With nearly three decades of experience in community services and professional setups, I believe in consistent communication, accessibility, and accountability. As an elected official, I pledge to maintain weekly office hours, engage with the community, and provide support when needed, fostering trust, comfort, and cohesion through ongoing conversation and engagement.

How will you ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently?
As a seasoned process engineer and entrepreneur, I've developed expertise in balancing priorities, setting objectives, and tracking outcomes. I pledge to leverage my business acumen to optimize budgets, utilize data-driven investments, and ensure transparent communication, driving growth and prosperity for Dublin residents and taxpayers. Public trust demands transparency and accountability at all times and I commit to make this a top priority at all times.

Residents often note that traffic management and crime prevention are top concerns. How will you address these issues?
As a former member of Dublin Chief Justin Paez's Advisory Committee, I aim to enhance our city's traffic management and crime prevention programs, prioritizing all 27+ school campus’s security and safety of all 50,000 residents. I will work to provide public safety teams with state-of-the-art resources, alleviate traffic congestion through partnerships, and ensure a secure environment for everyone living and visiting Dublin!

In one sentence, why should voters elect you in November?
Proven leadership with community first mindset!

    WARD 2

    Wendy Johnson

What are your top priority projects for Dublin and how would you fund them?
My priority is smart growth that secures Dublin’s future. I’ll push for performance-based agreements and direct economic-development funds to ensure employers we attract invest in our city and remain for the long term. I’ll also back housing development that allows our seniors age in place and provides our children with opportunities to remain here. Through thoughtful zoning and land-use, targeted incentives, and private partnerships, we can keep residential growth aligned with community needs.

How do you or would you stay connected to resident concerns and make sure all voices are heard?
Staying connected to residents means more than waiting for feedback — it requires consistent, proactive outreach so people understand the ongoing efforts and long-term initiatives in their neighborhoods as part of the Envision Dublin plan. I’ll keep close ties with community associations, civic groups, and business owners, hold neighborhood forums, and use digital channels so people can easily share input— ensuring residents know what’s happening and have a real voice in shaping Dublin’s future.

How will you ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently?
With over 20 years in product management, I’m used to weighing competing priorities, setting clear goals, and tracking outcomes. On Council, I’ll bring that same discipline—scrutinizing budgets, using data to guide investments, and communicating openly so residents not only understand how their dollars support Dublin’s long-term vitality but also the decision-making process behind the appropriations.

Residents often note that traffic management and crime prevention are top concerns. How will you address these issues?
I’ll champion traffic solutions that keep pace with growth—ensuring infrastructure requirements and safety measures are addressed before new development occurs and always keeping walkability and mixed-use paths a clear priority. Public safety is a core value in Dublin, and growth must reflect it. I’ll ensure new businesses and development align with our community’s safety standards so progress never compromises the security that defines us.

In one sentence, why should voters elect you in November?
I will put community first as Dublin grows.

    Dr. Joy Kouns

What are your top priority projects for Dublin and how would you fund them?
My top priorities all work toward a vision, of “ One Dublin, All Generations, Stronger Together.” This means smart, strategic growth, safe neighborhoods, and a connected, vibrant community for everyone.
To support this, I support the continued careful Development of areas of the areas like the Metro Center and the Western Innovation District.

How do you or would you stay connected to resident concerns and make sure all voices are heard?
The “All Generations”  part of my platform means truly listening to everyone, from our newest families to our long-time senior. I will bee a consistent, accessible presence-not just at City Hall, I plan to host regular, informal “Connect with Joy Kouns” office hours in different parts of Ward 2, like coffee shops in Frantz Rd, Tuttle and Emerald Parkway so people n stop by easily. I’ll also use both digital tools and traditional communication like community, newsletters, to ask for feedback.

How will you ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently?
Trust is build on clear communication and accountability. I will have a rigorous and open budget for easily accessible public reports that shows how money is spent on projects, comparing actual losts against plan. Every tax payer dollar should be treated with same care and respect as our household expenses. By holding every contract and expenditure to a high standard of public scrutiny, we can ensure we are building  stronger Dublin that invests wisely for the benefit of all.

Residents often note that traffic management and crime prevention are top concerns. How will you address these issues?
A community that is stronger together must feel safe and e easy to navigate. On crime prevention, I support funding our police department. On traffic management we must focus on long term congestion relief and modernizing our flow with smart technology. Crucially, we must also continue expanding our shared-use path system-because connecting our community safely for all ages, whether driving, walking or biking, is key to One Dublin

In one sentence, why should voters elect you in November?
I bring proven leadership, fiscal responsibility.

    Jean Philemond

What are your top priority projects for Dublin and how would you fund them?
I want to keep our seniors in Dublin. I've had many conversations with seniors, and I have learned there are too many who can no longer afford housing in the city. I think we can provide some attractive housing options to our seniors. We can codify granny housing through the Dublin City Code, and/or investing in pocket neighborhoods. These are single family homes which are affordable and very convenient, and much smaller than the average foot home.

How do you or would you stay connected to resident concerns and make sure all voices are heard?
I am in favor of communicating better and more effectively with our residents. I want to ensure that when changes take place or are proposed, the community understands and participates. To do so, we have to broaden our engagement with Civic/Homeowners' Associations. We can text, use our local magazine, or establishing a calendar through the DublinGo App. I also want to communicate with the neighborhoods on a monthly basis. Being engaged and connected will ensure their voices are heard.

How will you ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently?
Transparency and accountability in the way we spend the taxpayers' hard earned dollars are essential to good governance. We need to publish our auditing process and provide constant reports to our residents. Part of being transparent means to communicate more about the city's long-term financial planning, its borrowing policy, and how its operating budget is in line with its financial future. Through my monthly outreach, I plan to communicate about these financial matters.

Residents often note that traffic management and crime prevention are top concerns. How will you address these issues?
It all starts with our neighborhoods, and the role they can play with traffic and crimes. Also, the many roundabouts around the city have helped, as has law enforcement. We could extend the Dublin Connector service around the city, and also push to make LinkUS a reality. On the issue of crimes, we have to find ways to do better with prevention mechanism. Better community involvement along with collaboratively working with law enforcement can go a long way towards lessen crimes in the city.

In one sentence, why should voters elect you in November?
Because I am committed to serving the people.

    WARD 3

    Dr. Greg Lam

What are your top priority projects for Dublin and how would you fund them?
A top priority for me would be to further Dublin’s Environmental Sustainability Plan – already supported by the Capital Improvements Plan - by engaging residents to embrace sustainability as a shared community value.  Equally important is expanding civic participation in local government so more voices can shape our future. Funding for civic engagement efforts can be leveraged through federal, state, or nonprofit grants, thus ensuring progress without increasing local tax burdens.

How do you or would you stay connected to resident concerns and make sure all voices are heard?
Ensuring that all voices are heard is a central tenet of my campaign. I want to create more accessible ways for residents to connect with City Council through novel programs such as Civic Innovation Labs or informal Civic Roundtables. I would also create a leadership pipeline open to any resident committed to strengthening our community. By creating opportunities for dialogue and collaboration we can make decisions that reflect the concerns, values and aspirations of our community.

How will you ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently?
Dublin has a proud record of fiscal responsibility and, recently, balanced budgets. This success is built on strong community engagement, strategic planning, and clear priorities set by the City Council.  To build on this, I would champion greater civic participation through open financial forums and digital dashboards, giving residents real-time access to government spending. These steps will strengthen transparency, trust, and responsibility.

Residents often note that traffic management and crime prevention are top concerns. How will you address these issues?
Managing traffic and preventing crime requires innovation and strong community partnerships.  Strategic zoning, walkable neighborhoods, and expansion of micro transit solutions can ease congestion while improving the environment and enhancing safety. Community policing, youth preventions programs, and expanded use of autonomous drones can deter crime while building trust.  Innovative solutions like these will build strong communities and keep Dublin safe, sustainable and connected.

In one sentence, why should voters elect you in November?
I will bring fresh, innovative solutions to Dublin.

    John Reiner

What are your top priority projects for Dublin and how would you fund them?
Top priority projects would be the worlds most advanced walkable city at Metro center and the 3rd largest sports facility in the United States to draw heads in beds and alleviate our people from the long drives in the surrounding 5 states. We have already purchased the land for the sports complex, and we will, through TIFFs, investment by the participating parties, and by capital monies fund these projects.

How do you or would you stay connected to resident concerns and make sure all voices are heard?
I personally in my ward have visited 2,200 of the 2,400 homes and have spent a minimum of 1 hour meeting with those in my immediate community. We in Dublin have open community meetings and invite all concerned residents for all of our major issues. The residents participate in the decision making of any major project ahead of us.

How will you ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently?
As a businessman, this is my number 1 priority. It is wise for the voters to ensure that they select people with a strong business background to make sure their tax dollars are used appropriately. No one knows this more than an independent business owner responsible for a large family owned business.

Residents often note that traffic management and crime prevention are top concerns. How will you address these issues?
We in Dublin plan our communities 10 years into the future. I personally hate orange barrels and see them as a sign of traffic failure. I know they are needed for repairs on streets and bridges. I was instrumental in the introduction of roundabouts in our communities because the reduce the fatalities of a T-bone crash and minimize automobile damage.

In one sentence, why should voters elect you in November?
I have built you the most desirable city in the US.

    WARD 4

    Cathy De Rosa

What are your top priority projects for Dublin and how would you fund them?
Dublin’s success comes from careful planning, long-term vision, and balancing progress with preservation. I will continue this approach by prioritizing the revitalization of Metro Center to strengthen our economy, transforming Sports Ohio into a premier sports facility for families and youth, and creating a signature citywide trail. Guided by sound fiscal stewardship, these projects will use phased implementation and partnerships to invest in our future while protecting financial stability.

How do you or would you stay connected to resident concerns and make sure all voices are heard?
As your Council representative, my top priority has always been to stay closely connected to the residents I serve. Being out on my bike almost daily, I work to be present, accessible, and engaged in the daily life of our community. Listening is serving. Whether it is responding to an issue raised by a resident, meeting with community groups and HOAs, or attending events and programs, I work hard to gather and support the many and diverse perspectives and needs of Dublin residents and families.

How will you ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently?
Accountability to Dublin taxpayers comes first—because City funds are resident funds. During my time on Council, I have championed fiscal policies that ensure a balanced budget, responsible borrowing, and full transparency. Dublin now reports through the Ohio Checkbook so residents know how their dollars are spent. We operate with a balanced budget and a robust borrowing policy to ensure the City can fund projects not only next year, but 20 years from now.

Residents often note that traffic management and crime prevention are top concerns. How will you address these issues?
Traffic and safety management is a top priority. In the past three years, Council has boosted law enforcement funding for more personnel, advanced speed monitoring equipment, data analytics, and Ohio’s leading drone program. Looking ahead, I will continue to call for regular traffic studies and thorough traffic analysis prior to any land development, and will require developers to contribute funds for roadway improvements—ensuring growth is supported by safe, efficient transportation.

In one sentence, why should voters elect you in November?
I will continue to get things done for you!

    Kent A. Weakley

What are your top priority projects for Dublin and how would you fund them?
Investing in our youth is a top priority. We need to give them more options for wellness and physical activity in the Dublin community through partnerships with local healthcare organizations. Redeveloping the Metro Center is a very exciting project. Lessons learned from the Bridge Park development can be applied here.  It is essentially to support the creation of high earning jobs in our community so we can continue to fund our amenities, support services and future goals.

How do you or would you stay connected to resident concerns and make sure all voices are heard?
In person interaction with our residents is critical. Developing and sustaining relationship with our neighborhoods will be important for ongoing communication. I think we are relying too much on social media to communicate to the public, more print material is needed.

How will you ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently?
Bringing a fresh perspective will provide benefit in this area. It is City Council's responsibility to fully vet financial expenditures. There is still a lot of confusion of the use of property tax, many people still think that’s a major source of revenue for the City. We need to simplify education on this topic.

Residents often note that traffic management and crime prevention are top concerns. How will you address these issues?
I believe a regular cadence on traffic studies should be conducted, regardless of if there is a concern brought forward, especially in higher risk areas. The development of passenger rail is absolutely critical to help alleviate congestion in our community. I will support the investment in this project. Leveraging technology such as drones and using data analytics to tackle crime prevention should be a priority.

In one sentence, why should voters elect you in November?
My passion for this community is unmatched.

    Dublin City Schools
    Board of Education Candidates

    Tiffany deSilva

School funding and property taxes are an issue locally and state-wide.  As a Board Member, what can you do to balance the need for revenue to keep our district strong while also ensuring responsible spending at the district level? Have you met with Treasurer Brian Kern and reviewed the 5-Year Forecast? What are your thoughts about HB 920 and how inflationary growth limits Dublin's revenue?

Wages and benefits make up 84% of District expenditures. We committed to a “Responsible Staffing Plan” which has helped extend our positive cash balance. I will continue to support ways to increase efficiency, provide high-quality educational experiences for our students, and be good stewards of the resources we have. I discuss the 5-Year Forecast with Mr. Kern at least twice a year. Due to HB 920, when property values rise within the District, the amount of increase DCS sees is limited.

The Dublin City School District serves multiple cities, townships, and counties.  As a Board Member, what is your role in creating meaningful conversations about housing and enrollment with municipal leaders?  At the district level, what needs do you see in the future with the anticipated enrollment growth?
It is imperative that the DCS CEO, CFO, and School Board Members have a seat at the table to engage in meaningful conversations with municipal leaders and developers to discuss the impact of future growth and development on the schools. Based on current projections, within the next 10 years, DCS may need an additional middle school and elementary school at some point. Adding the addition onto Scioto HS is saving DCS more than $200 million by alleviating the need for a 4th high school.

What is the core mission of the Dublin City School District?  How does the current district vision differ from your goals?
The DCS mission states, “The DCS District develops educator, family, and community partnerships to provide a personalized educational experience to prepare all students for success during their school journey and after graduation.” As a board member, I helped create the DCS mission and it's aligned with my mission and vision to continue to support our students’ mental health and wellbeing, build a stronger community, & ensure our students have an excellent, individualized educational experience.

What is the role of an effective Board Member in the operation of a district like Dublin?
Board members must demonstrate effective governance & support the overall wellbeing of the school district. Responsibilities: providing oversight, setting the District vision & goals, strategic planning, establishing policy, approving & monitoring the budget, supporting student achievement, representing the community, & evaluating the CEO & CFO. An effective board member is engaged, avoids micromanaging the day-to-day operations, & cultivates insight in order to make the best-informed decisions.

    Elizabeth McClain

School funding and property taxes are an issue locally and state-wide.  As a Board Member, what can you do to balance the need for revenue to keep our district strong while also ensuring responsible spending at the district level? Have you met with Treasurer Brian Kern and reviewed the 5-Year Forecast? What are your thoughts about HB 920 and how inflationary growth limits Dublin's revenue?
I will take seriously the responsibility to ensure every tax dollar is used wisely, balancing the need to maintain our district’s excellence while respecting the financial realities of our community and it's important the community knows how dollars are being spent. The Board must advocate at the state level for fairer funding structures while also doing the hard work locally of prioritizing needs, and ensuring we maximize every dollar to support both students and teachers.

The Dublin City School District serves multiple cities, townships, and counties.  As a Board Member, what is your role in creating meaningful conversations about housing and enrollment with municipal leaders?  At the district level, what needs do you see in the future with the anticipated enrollment growth?
It’s important that the Board works closely with city and township leaders to understand how housing growth will affect our classrooms. In my role as a PM and as part of the Dublin CSAC, I’ve learned how valuable it is to bring people together, share good data, and find solutions that work for everyone. With enrollment growth on the horizon, we’ll need to plan carefully, making sure we have enough space, staff, and resources while protecting the quality of education Dublin families expect.

What is the core mission of the Dublin City School District?  How does the current district vision differ from your goals?
The core mission of Dublin City Schools is to develop educator, family, and community partnerships to provide a personalized educational experience that prepares all students for success during their school journey and after graduation. This mission supports the district's vision to ensure that every student is prepared for success. I am in agreement with the mission and my platform supports it.

What is the role of an effective Board Member in the operation of a district like Dublin?
The role is about striking a balance: asking questions, holding the district accountable, and ensuring tax dollars are used wisely, while also supporting our teachers and administrators so they can do what they do best, educate students. At its heart, being an effective Board Member is about keeping students at the center of every decision, and making sure the district is positioned to serve them well today and in the future. It also means working closely with the superintendent and treasurer.

    Tara Seward

School funding and property taxes are an issue locally and state-wide.  As a Board Member, what can you do to balance the need for revenue to keep our district strong while also ensuring responsible spending at the district level? Have you met with Treasurer Brian Kern and reviewed the 5-Year Forecast? What are your thoughts about HB 920 and how inflationary growth limits Dublin's revenue?
Adequate school funding is critical for long-term success of the district. It is important to ensure we are allowing our residents to age in place and also making it possible for our young people to make Dublin their home. Brian Kern and I met to review the 5-yr forecast and spoke about where there is flexibility within the budget. While it is apparent the school funding model is broken, Dublin should advocate at the state/local levels for reform. Let’s stay open to alternative revenue sources.

The Dublin City School District serves multiple cities, townships, and counties.  As a Board Member, what is your role in creating meaningful conversations about housing and enrollment with municipal leaders?  At the district level, what needs do you see in the future with the anticipated enrollment growth?
As a board member, I will foster open dialogue with city, township, and county leaders to align housing growth with school capacity. Anticipated enrollment increases mean planning for classroom space, staffing, and transportation. My role is to ensure collaboration across jurisdictions so growth is managed responsibly, resources are used wisely, and every student has access to a strong, supportive learning environment.

What is the core mission of the Dublin City School District?  How does the current district vision differ from your goals?
The core mission is to provide a personalized educational experience to prepare all students for success during their school journey and after graduation. My overall vision is aligned with that of the district, however, I think it’s important to be clear on the “how we get there” in order to hold ourselves accountable. This requires very clear objectives and measurable goals to benchmark against to track progress regularly.

What is the role of an effective Board Member in the operation of a district like Dublin?
A Dublin school board member sets policy, approves budgets, hires/evaluates the superintendent, and ensures academic and fiscal accountability. Beyond these duties, the role demands building strong relationships with parents, staff, and community leaders, listening to diverse voices, and fostering trust. Success requires going above and beyond the boardroom to engage openly and ensure every decision reflects both responsibility and community collaboration.

    Kristy Venne

School funding and property taxes are an issue locally and state-wide.  As a Board Member, what can you do to balance the need for revenue to keep our district strong while also ensuring responsible spending at the district level? Have you met with Treasurer Brian Kern and reviewed the 5-Year Forecast? What are your thoughts about HB 920 and how inflationary growth limits Dublin's revenue?
Funding uncertainties require increased transparency, innovation, and collaboration to design cost-effective, community-supported solutions that keep student success at the center. When I co-chaired the DCS levy committee, we aimed to inform the community of the 5 Year Forecast and HB 920, ultimately passing the last levy and sustaining funding. This process taught me that community engagement on this topic must continue between levy cycles to build trust and support for our schools.

The Dublin City School District serves multiple cities, townships, and counties.  As a Board Member, what is your role in creating meaningful conversations about housing and enrollment with municipal leaders?  At the district level, what needs do you see in the future with the anticipated enrollment growth?
DCS faces rapid enrollment growth with projections of continued expansion, especially in the northwest quadrant. This requires careful planning to balance high school enrollment with current redistricting efforts and potentially build a new elementary and middle school in the future. It is essential for DCS to have a seat at the table and engage with municipal leaders in collaborative, thoughtful planning to ensure the space and resources are available to support continued educational excellence.

What is the core mission of the Dublin City School District?  How does the current district vision differ from your goals?
The vision of DCS is to ''ensure that every student is prepared for success''; this is done through building educator, family, and community partnerships in order to provide a personalized experience to all students.  This vision and mission is in direct alignment with my goals for DCS; I co-led the District's strategic planning process with our learning community as part of my last role as Director of Community Engagement, Planning, and Partnerships.

What is the role of an effective Board Member in the operation of a district like Dublin?
An effective board member works to preserve the long-term district well-being. This includes being intentional with decisions that support student success and adhering to community values. The board makes policy, adopts a budget, selects and assesses the superintendent and treasurer, and maintains mission focus for the district. The role entails being an accessible, active listener - connecting community perspective with district leadership, building transparency, credibility, and accountability.

    Washington Township Trustee Candidates

    Hilary Damaser

Washington Township provides Fire & EMS services for the City of Dublin, what challenges and opportunities do you see for the township as the city continues to grow?
The rapid growth in Washington Township and the City of Dublin is exciting, bringing fresh perspectives, resources, and opportunities to the community. However, the growth has affected and will continue to affect the school system, governmental services, and the residents’ enjoyment of the community. I believe that with smart planning, sensible zoning, and cooperation among the neighboring local governments, the growth can be managed and the excellent services maintained.

If you were elected as a Trustee, what would your priorities be over the next 5 years?
I expect to work closely with the Township Fiscal Officer and the Township Administrator to ensure the Township is not holding too much of the budget in unnecessary reserve but also ensures that equipment and resources are responsibly upgraded so that the Township can maintain its excellent response rates and service.  I hope to maintain the strong financial position and transparency, encourage diversity in employment, ensure resources for the Fire Department, and collaborate on growth.

    Stu Harris

Washington Township provides Fire & EMS services for the City of Dublin, what challenges and opportunities do you see for the township as the city continues to grow?
Our challenges are maintaining our excellent fire and rescue services for Dublin and Washington Township and our 15-year record of not raising taxes. Our Fire Department is accredited by the Center for Fire Accreditation International and holds the highest rating possible from the ISO Public Protection Classification Program: ISO-One.  Our Fire Department is 1 of only 123 departments in the USA, and 1 of only 4 in Ohio to achieve both distinguished designations.

If you were elected as a Trustee, what would your priorities be over the next 5 years?
These Priorities are all equal in importance:
    Priority #1 Maintain Accreditation
    Priority #2 Maintain ISO-1
Priority #3 Recruitment/Retention/Promotion of professional fire fighters and emergency medical personnel with local programs like Tolles Career and Technical School and Columbus State.
Priority #4 Mental Health Program awareness and assistance
Priority #5 Washington Township is funded primarily by property taxes.  We will plan to thrive without raising taxes like the past 15 years.

    Charles Kranstuber

Washington Township provides Fire & EMS services for the City of Dublin, what challenges and opportunities do you see for the township as the city continues to grow?

As Dublin continues to grow, our challenge is to keep up with that growth and provide the highest level of fire and EMS services. We are one of only four jurisdictions in the State of Ohio that are both ISO-1 rated and fully accredited. In a recent poll done by the City of Dublin, we have a 98% approval rating. The Township has not raised taxes in over 15 years. Our response time is under six minutes. As growth continues to occur, we have set aside two parcels of land for future fire stations.

If you were elected as a Trustee, what would your priorities be over the next 5 years?
Our main priority over the next five years is to continue to provide excellent fire and EMS services at the lowest cost possible for the taxpayers. Among comparable jurisdictions in central Ohio, we have the lowest property tax per $100,000 of valuation. Our tax rate is nearly half of nearby Norwich Township, which serves the City of Hilliard. We are committed to continuing to be responsible with your tax dollars while providing the highest level of fire and EMS services.
